Open Records Request
Open Records Requests may be submitted to TCJPD by email, by mail, or in person. Please note that juvenile court records and juvenile probation records are generally confidential and not subject to disclosure under the Public Information Act. Tex. Gov’t. Code § 552.101. Upon receiving an open records request, TCJPD has ten business days to respond. If the request is voluminous, the requestor may be asked to pay a fee before TCJPD can provide the responsive documents. When submitting an open records request to TCJPD, please provide a specific description of the information or documents that you are requesting to avoid the need for clarification.
